Allegheny Chapter of the GPAA’s September 12th 2009 Meeting

MEETING INFORMATION

Gold Rush Days

There was about 30 members that showed up for Gold Rush Days this year. I thought we had a great turn out. We won the tug – of -war for the second year in a row. Those that pulled for the club were: Jack, John, Russ, Erm, and Ryan.  Ryan & April won the    Corn-hole Contest.  Russ won the Potato Sack Race, which the Ohio Chapter challenged us to.  Mike had won at the Gold Fever Game Show. We brought home a lot of gold from there. The weather was very nice, a little cold at nights and on Monday we took camp down and it rained.

September 12th minutes

We started off with the Pledge of Allegiance, and then we had a pot luck lunch. After lunch the meeting began. We talked about Carlisle Gold Show. The club will be raffling off gem/gold bags, and the club gets credits for having a booth there. All of the Officers are going to try to go, but we are not sure who all will be going. We talked about Gold Rush Days. John had got the new trailer and it is very nice. Ed H. offered to anyone, if they wanted to go with him, he is heading out to California.

New business: New members introduced themselves, and we now have the newest/youngest member, which is my granddaughter Destiny Faith. Congratulations to Courtney (mother) and to Tina (grandmother). We appointed Amanda as a new trustee. The position for a new chairperson for the outing committee is open. Chris is doing it for now, but is giving it up due to her holding an office. Lynn K. had donated an awning and material for the new pavilion. We are having a work party 9/26 for anyone who is able to come out and help. The treasury report was given and we spoke about Octobers outing. Proceeded onto the raffles. Sorry if not all the meeting stuff is here. I (Tina) am selling tickets and doing minutes at the same time.
